9th - 12th March 2017. “MeArt, the first International Biennial of the Mediterranean Sea, and “Museum Levi”, a special session inside the Biennial, have given birth to a single great event, organized by EA Editore of Palermo and by Prof. Paolo Levi, which took place in the areas of the Fail of the Mediterranean Sea of PalermoHonor guests: the godmother Alba Parietti, who cut the ribbon at the opening night of 9th March, and Jose' Van Roy Dali', painter and heir of Salvador and Gala.
Fom 9th to 12th March 2017 I have participated to “MeArt”, the first International Biennial of the Mediterranean Sea, and to “Museum Levi”, a special session inside the Biennial itself, wanted by Prof. Paolo Levi, journalist, art critic and essayist of international reputation.
The event has been organized by EA Editore of Sandro and Pietro Serradifalco and by Prof. Paolo Levi himself, with the cooperation of the artistic consultants Serena Carlino, Francesco Saverio Russo and Doct. Rino Lucia, the art critic Salvatore Russo and the editorial consultants Barbara Romeo and Giacomo Cangialosi.
The International Biennial of the Mediterranean Sea, an event where the world of art met in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, thought to involve different artistic contemporary experiences of painting, sculpture, graphics, photography, digital and ceramics in a great worldwide meeting.
An opportunity of meeting and confronting between tradition and innovation.
“Museo Levi”, and exhibition inside the exhibition, thought and organized by Prof. Paolo Levi, who has selected personally the contemporary artists to display next to fifty masterpieces of the xxth Century. An imaginary Museum of Modern Art, where the witness of the past (reproduced through maxi-pictures) were interspersed with the works of contemporary painters, sculptors and photographers, considered as the continuers, either explicitly or unconsciously, of the lesson of aesthetics and of content of the 900.
An extraordinary event, where I have displayed four of my more significant works: “Shallow Waters” and “The Sea of Victoria”, dedicated the latter to the Italian actress Vittoria Puccini, earlier displayed at London in July 2015, and “The Cube of Vermeer” and “Ecstasy of Chili”, earlier displayed in May 2015 at Milan and in May 2016 in Rome, at the end of which I received the Award for "Technical Skill" assigned to me by the responsible Jury and vested during the closing ceremony of the Fair, on the night of 12th March.
An event which, besides to seeing an extraordinary success of audience, during the four days of display, has also been a great moment of gathering for the participating artists, ina frame not of competitiveness, but of fruition, cultural exchange and mutual enrichment.
