In March 2018, on my participation to the New York International Art Expo, organized by Spoleto Arte, with my work “Albachiara, after Year 1000, on the Silk Route” prof. Salvo Nugnes, art critic and President of “Spoleto Arte wrote:

“Giovanna Magugliani is specialized in portraits which are of more evocative beauty, the more they investigate the psychological intimacy of the depicted character. ‘Albachiara, after the Year 1000, on the Silk Route’ creates a magic sensation, through the choice of warm and dark colors, evoking a climate and culture which are different from ours. The woman, by Mediterranean features, together with the wonderful decorations of the fabrics, is represented with extreme realism, giving full emotion to the observers”.
